Whether you are looking to bring PAT testing in-house or start your own PAT testing business, this 1 day local PAT testing course is perfect.

If you currently have PAT test equipment, we will train you  how to PAT test on your machine.

If you do not have a PAT tester we can lend you one for you complete your PAT training, we can also provide advice as to the type of PAT tester that would be most suitable for your business if required.

We also now offer a PAT tester hire service, so if you are a small company and only need to use a PAT tester for 1 week of the year you can just hire one for a week!

The TTS certificate of competence – In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing) training course is available to be conducted over 1 day at your site or one of our training venues (local PAT testing courses) around the UK.

The course contains both theory and a big focus on practical PAT testing to allow candidates to be assessed as competent in PAT Testing.

We will cover:

  • Hazards of electricity,
  • Classification of appliances,
  • Dangers and safety requirements,
  • Regulation requirements,
  • IET Code of Practice,
  • Recording results
  • Using a PAT Tester.
This TTS certificate of competence PAT Testing course will conclude with a multiple choice test and a practical assessment.
This will be an open-book.
Successful candidates will the TTS Certificate of Training – In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT).
The course is 1 day and last between 6 -7 hours depending on number of candidates and their previous knowledge.
The course takes place at your site, anywhere in the UK or one of our venues around the country.
Our competency course is suitable for all. We aim the course at the non-electrically trained.
PAT testing is mainly basic electrical training and knowing what is safe and what is not. If you can wire a plug, you should be able to pass a PAT testing course (if you can’t wire a plug, you will be able to by then the end of the course!).
Our pass rate for this course is in excess of 95%.
