Our PAT training course - typical agenda

The course duration depends on number and ability of candidates, normally the course will last between 5 - 6 hours.

Our course is split between theory and practical, we have a strong emphasis on practical PAT testing and feel this suits most learners.

If you have your own PAT tester, the course will be bespoke to that PAT tester. If you do not have a PAT tester we will provide a selection for the training course. Enabling you to try a variety of PAT testers that are currently available, you will get a better understanding of what is most suitable for your business needs.

We deal with all PAT tester manufacturers: Seaward, Metrel, Kewtech, Robin, Fluke and more.

  • How to conduct all tests safely and compliantly.

VERBAL TEST

PAT course Part two - Practical PAT testing

Our practical session can be conducted with your PAT testers or of course we can supply loan testers at no extra cost for the course.

During the practical PAT testing session we will put into place all the previous learning. We will test all classes of equipment (I II III) and we will also test different voltage equipment.

As we conduct most of our training sessions at our clients sites, the candidates will be testing appliances in their environment with their tester, this reinforces the knowledge and is a major factor as to why this PAT training option is so successful and popular.

When the candidates feels confident and fully understands which tests are required, what they are testing for and what to do in the event of a pass or fail, we will conduct a practical competency assessment.

Upon successful completion of parts 1 & 2 candidates will be issued with a certificate in competency of PAT testing.
